3 Doors Down, Toby Keith Performing at Trump Inauguration Event

3 Doors Down and Toby Keith will perform at one of Donald Trump’s Inaugural events, the Inauguration Committee announced today. The “Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration” is set to take place on January 19 (one day before Trump’s inauguration) at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Others listed for the event include Broadway singer Jennifer Holliday and actor Jon Voight. Holliday’s publicist, however, has told TheWrap that she was invited, but has not yet agreed to participate. Trump is also scheduled to appear.

Teen opera singer Jackie Evancho has previously been announced as the national anthem singer at Trump’s January 20 inauguration. Several artists, including Moby, Elton John, and Andrea Bocelli, have publicly rejected opportunities to perform at inauguration events.

On the same day as the “Welcome Celebration,” Solange, Esperanza Spalding, and others will perform at an alternative inauguration ball. The event—Peace Ball: Voices of Hope and Resistance—will “celebrate the accomplishments and successes of the past 4 years and the vow to continue to be the change we want to see in the world.”
