5 Albums Out Today You Should Listen to Now: Sampha, Big Sean, Syd, More

With so much good music being released all the time, it can be hard to determine what to listen to first. Every week, Pitchfork offers a run-down of significant new releases available on streaming services. This week’s batch includes new albums from Sampha, Big Sean, Syd, Homeshake, and Surfer Blood.

SamphaProcess [Young Turks]

Last year, Sampha appeared on Kanye West’s “Saint Pablo,” Frank Ocean’s Endless, and Solange’s A Seat at the Table. Now, his debut album, Process, is here. It follows 2013’s Dual EP. Read Pitchfork’s track reviews for “Timmy’s Prayer,” “Blood on Me,” and “(No One Knows Me) Like the Piano”—the latter two of which were named Best New Track.
