With so much good music being released all the time, it can be hard to determine what to listen to first. Every week, Pitchfork offers a run-down of significant new releases available on streaming services. This week’s batch includes new albums from Sampha, Big Sean, Syd, Homeshake, and Surfer Blood.
Last year, Sampha appeared on Kanye West’s “Saint Pablo,” Frank Ocean’s Endless, and Solange’s A Seat at the Table. Now, his debut album, Process, is here. It follows 2013’s Dual EP. Big Sean: I Decided. [Def Jam/G.O.O.D.]
After releasing his third studio album, Dark Sky Paradise, in 2015, Big Sean collaborated with Jhené Aiko for their self-titled debut as Twenty88. Now, he’s released his fourth solo LP called I Decided. Eminem, Aiko, Jeremih, and more feature on the record. Watch the “Bounce Back” and “Moves” videos.

After releasing 1000 Palms in 2015, Surfer Blood are back with a new album called Snowdonia. It’s the band’s first album since founding guitarist Thomas Fekete died of cancer last May.
