Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda: World Spirituality Classics 1: The Ecstatic Music of Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda [Luaka Bop]

David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label has released a new Alice Coltrane compilation called World Spirituality Classics 1: The Ecstatic Music of Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda. The record features music that Coltrane made while she lived at the Sai Anantam Ashram, which she established in 1983; the tracks, like the recently released versions of “Om Shanti” and “Om Rama,” had previously been available only on cassettes distributed within the community.

Pond: The Weather [Marathon Artists]

The latest album from Pond is called The Weather. The follow-up to Man It Feels Like Space Again is produced by Kevin Parker. The band features Tame Impala member Jay Watson and former member Nicholas Allbrook, and the album includes previously shared the songs “30000 MEGATONS” and Sweep Me Off My Feet”.

Logic: Everybody [Visionary Music Group/Def Jam]

After releasing his last album, The Incredible True Story, in 2015, and last year’s Bobby Tarantino mixtape, Logic is back with a follow-up. Everybody includes “Black SpiderMan” and “1-800-273-8255,” released in partnership with the National Suicide Prevention Hotline. The album features Killer Mike, Chuck D, Alessia Cara, Juicy J, Black Thought, Khalid, No I.D., actor Ansel Elgort (The Fault in Our StarsDivergent), and famed scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson.
