A$AP Rocky Stars in New Film Dope Featuring New Pharrell Songs

Dope is an upcoming movie directed by Rick Famuyiwa about a nerdy teenager trying to survive the more dangerous elements of his neighborhood in Inglewood, California. Pharrell contributed four new songs to the film, and A$AP Rocky plays a supporting role. Watch the trailer below, via Entertainment Weekly. The Dope cast also includes Shameik Moore, “Workaholics”‘ Blake Anderson, Zoë Kravitz, and Casey Veggies. Entertainment Weekly reports that the film also features “Odd Future, A$AP Mob, and Joey Bada$$’s Pro Era.” It’s rumored that Vince Staples also appears.

The movie will premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, which takes place January 22-February 1.
