Abbey Road Console Behind Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Solo Beatles Albums Up For Sale

Want to spend a lot of money and own a piece of music history? The recording console housed in Abbey Road’s studio two from 1971 to 1983 is up for auction, The Guardian reports. The Abbey Road Studios EMI TG12345 Mk IV, created as a collaboration between Abbey Road and EMI, was used in the recording of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. Kate Bush, Paul McCartney and Wings, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and the Cure also made albums on the console. Producer Mike Hedges is selling the TG12345 Mk IV; he purchased the console directly from Abbey Road in 1983 and has kept it in working condition. The Bonhams auction takes place in New York on March 27; it’s on view at Bonhams’ London branch from March 19-27. Find more info here.
