Anderson .Paak, Desiigner, Lil Yachty, More Make 2016 XXL Freshman List

XXL has announced the 2016 Freshman Class, its ninth annual celebration of 10 “future hip hop stars.” Anderson .Paak, 21 Savage, Kodak Black, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Dicky, Dave East, Denzel Curry, Desiigner, G Herbo, and Lil Yachty received the honor this year. Content from the Freshmen will follow in the coming weeks. The issue itself arrives June 28, the same day as the Freshmen concert at New York City’s Playstation Theater. Notable past freshmen include Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, Future, Danny Brown, Kevin Gates, YG, Meek Mill, Chief Keef, and Curren$y. Watch video from the cover shoot below.
