Andrew Bird has announced his latest album, Are You Serious. The follow-up to last year’s experimental album Echolocations: Canyon arrives April 1 via Loma Vista. It features “Capsized,” the new track he debuted last night on “Conan,” as well as collaborations with Fiona Apple and Blake Mills. Listen to the studio version of that track below, and check out the album art and tracklisting.

Deluxe editions of the album include “Shoulder Mountain” and “Pulaski,” two tracks that don’t appear on the standard version. (They’ll also be packaged in an album bundle as a separate 7″.) Additionally, Bird is selling a deluxe box set containing the LP, 7″, and the exclusive Are We Not Burning? The Devolution of Capsized 10″, which features four previously-unheard tracks (plus a “Sound City version” of “Capsized”). The box set also includes a 64-page book with artwork for each song on the album.

This morning, Bird spoke about the album with NPR for “All Songs Considered.” Check out his interview here.

In addition to the new album, Bird has been scoring “Baskets,” Zach Galifanakis’ new FX show about an aspiring clown. He’ll also be heading off on a world tour later this month.
