Andrew Bird Soundtracks New Gun Safety Video: Watch

Andrew Bird has collaborated with gun safety group Everytown for Gun Safety on a new video, soundtracked by his song “Pulaski at Night.” Set in Chicago, the Natalie Morales-directed video follows a young boy as he experiences a lockdown drill during his school day. Bird, a Chicago native, initially teamed up with Everytown for Gun Safety earlier this year to raise money for the group’s Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund. “It’s not only the shameful body count in this country but the psychic toll that gun violence is taking on our citizens, especially young people,” Bird said in a new statement. “I used to throw up my hands and say, ‘What can we do? It’s complicated,’ but that’s lame. There’s so much we can do, and Everytown is out there creating real momentum around this issue.” Watch the video below.
