Andrew Bird’s Cover of New Pornographers’ "The Fake Headlines" Gets New Video

Last year, Andrew Bird shared his cover of the New Pornographers‘ Mass Romantic track “The Fake Headlines”. It’s set to be featured on Good People Rock, a new compilation from the Montreal-based charity organization Yellow Bird Project. Find the new, marionette-centric video for Bird’s cover, directed by Luke McCutcheon and Michael Yablonski, below via Pitchfork.tv.

Good People Rock is out April 14 via Madic, Dan Mangan’s new imprint of Arts & Crafts. As previously reported, the album features covers of songs by TV on the Radio, Rilo Kiley, Hot Chip, Beach House, Metric, Sharon Van Etten, and others, by the likes of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah’s Alec Ounsworth, Dry the River, Elvis Perkins, and more. The album also features a bonus track by the Tallest Man on Earth. Find the updated tracklist below the video.
