Animal Collective Have Finished Recording Their New Album

Animal Collective have finished recording their new album, the follow-up to 2012′s Centipede Hz. The news was revealed on the Instagram account of EastWest Studios in Los Angeles, where the album was recorded. “Today Animal Collective finished recording their new album in Studio 3. ☺️ we are so proud of them and this Album, can’t wait to hear it!!! Cheers!” the studio wrote as a caption on the photo seen above.

Since the release of Centipede Hz, Animal Collective have toured both as a band and as DJs. Panda Bear and Avey Tare also released solo albums.

Thanks to Ryan Scullin for the tip.

Update: According to Adam McDaniel at Drop of Sun Studios in Asheville, North Carolina, the band was in the studio “writing and rehearsing” the new album about six weeks ago. You can find photos of the band working here and here.
