Animal Collective’s Avey Tare Releases Bonkers “Welcome to Funzone” Video: Watch

Filmmaker Danny Perez is a longtime collaborator with members of Animal Collective, working with the band on music videos, concert visuals, art, and bigger projects like ODDSAC and Transverse Temporal Gyrus. His first feature film, ANTIBIRTH, stars Natasha Lyonne and Chloe Sevigny and is out in theaters and VOD on September 2 via IFC Midnight. It features a score by Black Dice’s Eric Copeland, but Animal Collective’s Avey Tare contributed “Welcome to The Funzone,” a custom jingle for the Funzone, a “children’s arcade, pizzeria, and bowling alley” from the movie.

Edited and animated by Perez, the video is an extended version of an advertisement that appears in the film.
