Aphex Twin and µ-Ziq Announce Expert Knob Twiddlers Reissue, Share Unreleased Track

In 1996, Aphex Twin (aka Richard D. James) and µ-Ziq (aka Mike Paradinas) released a record as a duo. The self-titled Mike & Rich album (popularly known as Expert Knob Twiddlers) came out that June. Now, Paradinas is reissuing the album—originally out on Rephlex, the label Aphex Twin co-owned—through his own imprint, Planet Mu. The record has, according to the press release, been put into a “more fitting” order and bulked up with seven unreleased tracks. Below, you can listen to one of them, “Vodka (Mix2),” and check out the artwork, tracklist, and a creepy new press shot.

In an interview from 1997, Paradinas described the album as “an updated version of easy listening and funk.”
