Aphex Twin Sells Mysterious New Record at Field Day

Aphex Twin performs at London’s Field Day later today, and he plans on live-streaming his set for the first time ever. But that’s not the only special event taking place around his appearance. Aphex Twin also reportedly released an exclusive 12″ to festivalgoers, which promptly sold out. The title-less record came in a chartreuse sleeve, according to Crack. See photos below. A copy has already made its way to eBay, and is available to purchase for £500 or $644. He did the same thing when he performed at Houston’s Day for Night in 2016, selling an all-white record that only featured the festival’s location and date. Aphex Twin last released the EP Cheetah 2016. Pitchfork has reached out to Aphex Twin’s representatives for comment.
