Aphex Twin’s Syro Full Album Art and Box Set Packaging Revealed

Aphex Twin's Syro Full Album Art and Box Set Packaging Revealed

Warp has revealed the full album art, as well as the design of the limited edition box set, for Aphex Twin‘s forthcoming Syro, his first new album since 2001. Check out photos above and below, via Creative Review. The packaging was created by the Designers Republic, who also worked on the artwork for 1997′s “Come to Daddy” and 1999′s “Windowlicker”.

The list of prices featured on the sleeve show every cost related to the production of Syro. (The lists are different based on the physical format.) According to Ian Anderson, founder of The Designers Republic, the concept was suggested by Aphex Twin’s Richard D. James.

“The intense, and ultimately pointless detail of the list really appealed to me … it was good working with James Burton and the team at Warp to stretch out this mantra that tells the reader everything and nothing about the creation of what I hear was an intensely personal album in the making reduced to the numbers of an album in the marketplace,” Anderson said.

Syro is out September 22. Before that, several listening events will be held in North America and Europe. To purchase one of the 200 copies of the box set, you must enter a lottery for the chance.
