Audion (Matthew Dear) Announces Mouth to Mouth 10 Remix Album

Matthew Dear has announced Mouth to Mouth 10, an album of remixes of his 2006 Audion single “Mouth to Mouth.” It’s out April 29 via Spectral Sound, and features remixes from Jamie Jones, Guy Gerber, Boys Noize, Dubfire, and more. The announcement is accompanied by the release of Dense & Pika’s remix for the project, which premiered during Matthew Dear’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix this weekend. In a press release, Matthew Dear says of “Mouth to Mouth”: “There was a great energy being shared by a lot of artists then….I remember playing the song for a few people and it was clear something special was happening, something meditative in the simple repetition and slow build of it all.” He added of the remixes, “I asked everyone to treat their remix like a cover letting the theme guide them rather than the parts….Everyone put a piece of themselves into it, and I’ll forever be grateful to them for contributing.” Matthew Dear says his second Audion LP (the follow-up to 2005′s Suckfish) is due out this summer.
