Avey Tare Teases New Album Eucalyptus by Sending Jigsaw Puzzles to Fans
Animal Collective’s Avey Tare seems to be teasing a forthcoming new album in a very specific way. A Redditor claims to have received a mysterious package in the mail from Domino Records—the label behind albums from Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks and Animal Collective. The package—seen in the photos below—contained a jigsaw puzzle, which revealed details for a new album called Eucalyptus. Avey Tare’s representatives have confirmed that he and Domino sent the puzzles. According to the jigsaw, the new record will feature Angel Deradoorian (of Slasher Flicks), Eyvind Kang, Jessika Kenney, and Susan Alcorn. Find the names of the tracks below.
Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks released their album Enter the Slasher House in 2014. His last solo album was 2010’s Down There. This year, Animal Collective released two new EPs: The Painters and Meeting of the Waters. This past January, Avey Tare shared a Slasher Flicks demo called “Visit the Dojo.”
