Azealia Banks Responds to RZA, Says He’s Trying to “Gaslight” Her

Earlier this month, Azealia Banks filed a battery report against the actor Russell Crowe after an incident at a small party at Crowe’s Beverly Hills hotel suite as a guest of Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA. Recently, RZA defended Crowe, calling Banks “obnoxious” and “erratic.” Now, Azealia Banks has responded the RZA in a post on her Facebook page. Read the full statement below.

“RZA has clearly been given no legal advice and went to straight to TMz out of his feelings to try and gaslight me,” she wrote. “Whatever pieces are left of his brain after years and years of smoking dust stupidly allowed him to ramble himself into incriminating his friend, and completely debunking their entire made up theory.” Banks, who stars in RZA’s upcoming film Coco, said last week that she’d signed a record deal with RZA.
