Beanie Sigel Hospitalized After Shooting
Beanie Sigel was shot this morning in Pleasantville, New Jersey, as NBC10 Philadelphia reports (via Billboard). Sigel (real name: Dwight Grant) was shot in the back and taken to the hospital. NBC10 reports that he is currently in critical condition and was taken into surgery.
Sigel’s lawyer, Fortunato Perri, Jr., told NBC10 that he did not believe Sigel was the intended target of the shooting.
Sigel was released from prison in August after serving sentences for drug possession and tax evasion. In 2006, he was shot in the arm.
