Beastie Boys Announce Anti-Hate Rally at Adam Yauch’s Memorial NYC Park

Yesterday, a playground in the Brooklyn park named for the late Beastie Boy Adam Yauch was vandalized with swastikas and pro-Trump graffiti. Now, local politicians have announced a “stand up against hate” rally that will be held in the park this weekend. It takes place tomorrow (November 20) at 11:30 a.m. It’s been organized by State Senator Daniel Squadron, Congresswoman Nydia Velásquez, as well as city council members, elected officials, and other community and faith leaders. The Beastie Boys and Kathleen Hanna shared the rally information on social media. Ad-Rock will be in attendance.

The graffiti has been removed, and in its place, locals have redecorated the park with hearts and chalk messages, BKLYNER reports. See an image below.
