Belle and Sebastian's Stuart Murdoch Films God Help The Girl in Latest Installment of Pitchfork.tv's Behind-the-Scenes Series

Belle and Sebastian frontman Stuart Murdoch’s film God Help the Girl, which he wrote, directed, and scored, is set for theatrical release in North America on September 5. (It’s out now in the UK). Now, Pitchfork.tv presents part four of God Help the Girl: The Making Of, a five-part series about the making of the movie.

In the fourth installment, the filming process is examined. Murdoch and the cast talk about their long days together shooting (and the strong rapport which developed as a result, imbuing the project with an improvisational element). We also get a glimpse of Murdoch directing the actors, and a look at how the film was choreographed.

Revisit our 2009 interview with Murdoch about the project.
