Benjamin Clementine Wins the Mercury Prize

Benjamin Clementine has won the Barclaycard Mercury Prize for his album At Least For Now. He won the award, which honors the best British album of the past year, over albums by Jamie xx, Florence and the Machine, and others.

The Mercury Prize is chosen each year by a panel of British music critics and industry folks. Last year’s winners were Young Fathers. Previous winners have included PJ Harvey, the xx, Pulp, Portishead, Arctic Monkeys, Antony and the Johnsons, Franz Ferdinand, and more.
