BET Announces Documentary Series About Hip-Hop Labels

BET has announced a new documentary series called “Inside the Label,” which will tell the stories behind some of the biggest labels in hip-hop, Billboard reports. The eight-week series kicks off on May 17 with an episode on Uptown Records. Future episodes will focus on Grand Hustle, Loud Records, Slip-N-Slide, Terror Squad, Ruff Ryders, Disturbing Tha Peace (DTP), and Murder Inc. Jay Z, RZA, Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Rick Ross, Killer Mike, DJ Khaled, Ludacris, Lyor Cohen, and many others have been interviewed for the show. Find a breakdown of episodes and interviewees below.
