Beyoncé Will Not Perform at Coachella 2017

Beyoncé will not perform her headlining set at Coachella 2017 due to her pregnancy, the festival announced today. According to the festival’s statement, Beyoncé’s decision came “following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months.” She will now headline Coachella 2018. Her replacement has not yet been announced. Read Coachella’s full statement below. Pitchfork has reached out to Beyoncé and Coachella representatives for more information and comment.

Just weeks after making her pregnancy public, Beyoncé performed at the Grammys, where she won Best Urban Contemporary Album (for Lemonade) and Best Music Video (for “Formation”) at the ceremony.
