Tonight, Beyoncé made good on her promise to release a new project called “Lemonade.” It is not, as reported, a docu-style special like her 2013 HBO special Life Is But a Dream, but a film set to new music from the singer. The film features cameos from Jay Z and tennis star Serena Williams. Update (04/23, 10:24 p.m. ET): The film also features appearances from Amandla Stenberg, Quvenzhané Wallis, and Zendaya. Update (04/24, 12:47 a.m. ET): Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, and Mike Brown’s mothers are featured in the film, holding photographs of their deceased sons during the song “Forward,” featuring James Blake.
Earlier this year, Beyoncé released her single “Formation” the day before performing the song during the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
