Big Boi Clarifies Gucci Mane’s “Recorded for OutKast” Comments

Back in September, Gucci Mane hopped on Snapchat to announce that he had just finished recording a slew of features for artists. The one that drew the most attention was OutKast, seemingly hinting that a reunion album was in the works. “I just did a record for OutKast,” he said. “I just did a record for Wayne. I just did a record for Boosie. I just did a record for Project Pat. I just did a record for E-40.” In a recent interview, Big Boi clarified Gucci Mane’s comments, saying that the record was actually for his upcoming solo album. “Gucci is on this album, most definitely,” he told Creative Loafing Tampa. “He was just excited because the song was jammin’ like a motherfucker.”

Back in 2010, Gucci Mane was a featured guest on Big Boi’s solo debut, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.
