Billboard Music Awards 2016: Watch Kesha Cover Bob Dylan’s "It Ain’t Me Babe"

Billboard Music Awards 2016: Watch Kesha Cover Bob Dylan's "It Ain't Me Babe"

After Kesha was announced as a performer at tonight’s Billboard Music Awards, the performance was cancelled following a dispute with her label, Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records. Kesha had previously received permission from the label to perform, but the label changed its mind following reports that she would make “direct references” to her legal battle with Dr. Luke. Then, the performance was reinstated after the label gave its written consent once again. (The label explained that approval was contingent on “assurances” that Kesha won’t use the performance as “a platform to discuss the litigation.”) After all that back-and-forth, Kesha took the stage tonight to cover Bob Dylan’s “It Ain’t Me Babe” with Ben Folds. Watch below. Kesha previously covered Dylan for Amnesty International’s 50th Anniversary. Update (5/23 12:18 a.m.): The video has been removed. Update (5/23 9 a.m.): Watch a clip below.
