Billy Corgan Quits Twitter, Starts Blog, Announces TNA Wrestling Tournament

If you’re looking for the latest from Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, you won’t be seeing him on Twitter anymore. As Consequence of Sound reports, he’s shuttered his @Billy account and has instead started an art, design, and photography blog called People and Their Cars.

“Pictures (mostly Vernacular), design elements (found), and ephemera with smatterings of Art (conscious),” reads the site’s description. If you want more exclusive images from Corgan, you can subscribe to his Red Border Club mailing list.

When he’s not busy posting found objects on his blog, he’s staying busy in his new creative role as Senior Producer at TNA Wrestling. Today, he led a press conference with TNA president Dixie Carter. Here’s the story: TNA’s new World Heavyweight Champion Matt Hardy was forced to vacate the title due to “an injunction” from the previous champion. As a result, they’re holding a tournament to determine the new champ. Watch the very dramatic announcement below via Cageside Seats.
