Björk Announces VR Exhibit, Orchestra Performance in L.A.

Björk is bringing her virtual reality exhibition Björk Digital to Los Angeles. Previously shown in Tokyo and London, the exhibition will be running from May 19 to June 4. It takes place at the Magic Box at The Reef. On May 30, Björk will also be performing with the L.A. Philharmonic—conducted by Bjarni Frímann Bjarnason—at Walt Disney Concert Hall as part of the L.A. Philharmonic’s Reykjavík Festival. Tickets for the exhibition and concert will be available on March 6.

Björk Digital includes VR experiences “Family” and “Notget,” which Björk has previously teased through 2D videos. It will also feature “Black Lake” and “Stonemilker,” directed by Andrew Thomas Huang. Finally, the exhibition will show footage of Björk’s performance of “Quicksand” in Tokyo and the Jesse Kanda-directed “Mouth Mantra” video.
