Björk's Biophilia Live Concert Film Gets Audio Visual DVD/Blu-Ray Release

Björk‘s new live concert film, Björk: Biophilia Live, is screening in theaters around the world this fall. Created by Peter Strickland and Nick Fenton, it captures a live performance of her 2011 album. Now a release date of November 24 has been set for the release of the film on DVD and Blu-Ray, accompanied by audio, via One Little Indian.

The DVD and Blu-Ray editions will be available on 2xCD/DVD, 2xCD/Blu-Ray, 3xLP/DVD (with an MP3 coupon), and digital formats. They include extra footage from the Biophilia residency at Japan’s Miraikan Museum.

A clip from the film, of “Moon” performed at London’s Alexandra Palace, was also recently shared at Nowness. Björk sings with the Reykjavik-based Langholtskirkja Choir School.

Correction: A previous version of this story referred to the audio portion as a “live album.” Björk prefers it to be referred to as an “audio visual package.”
