Boiler Room Is Building a Virtual Reality Music Venue

Boiler Room is linking with VR hub Inception to build a virtual reality music venue, which they say is the world’s first, as Dazed points out. Inception and Boiler Room will produce special events in the made-for-VR venue, set to open in 2017; viewers can then watch with VR headsets from home. In a press release, Boiler Room CEO Blaise Bellville talked up their interest in immersive experiences for remote music fans, saying the new venue would “bring people even closer to what it’s like being at a sweaty rave or an amazing concert half-way across the world.”
