Bonnaroo Enlists Chance the Rapper, Metallica's Rob Trujillo, DMC, More for SuperJam

The Bonnaroo SuperJam, the annual tradition of one-off collaborations between diverse artists,  is part of what sets the Manchester, Tennessee fest apart from every other major festival. This year’s theme is “Throwback Superjam Dance Party”. Says the Bonnaroo site, “this year we’ll be reveling in a retro vibe as this diverse group of superstar artists gives us a futuristic take on an old school dance party, done up Bonnaroo style!”

This year’s SuperJam participants include Chance the Rapper, DMC of Run-DMC, Metallica’s Rob Trujillo, Reggie Watts, Jamie Lidell, Bleachers/fun.’s Jack Antonoff, Pretty Lights, and more.

Last year, Skrillex brought along Chance, Janelle Monaé, Thundercat, Warpaint, and more. The year before, R. Kelly joined Jim James. Before that, D’Angelo joined ?uestlove for a surprise set of covers.

Correction: An earlier version of this story indicated that Miguel was part of the SuperJam. He is not.
