Brand New Preview New Song “I Am a Nightmare”: Listen
Brand New will release a new song on Friday, May 20 called “I Am a Nightmare,” on their label Procrastinate! Music Traitors, according to an Amazon listing, and as Stereogum points out. Listen to a 30-second preview of it here, and see the artwork below.
“I Am a Nightmare” will be the band’s first new song since sharing “Mene” in April 2015. Their last LP is 2009’s Daisy. This past January, they officially released a collection of songs that had leaked nearly a decade earlier, appropriately called Leaked Demos 2006. According to an email from Procrastinate! sent in January, a new Brand New record could arrive this year, as it lists a release from the band in an “unconfirmed format.”
Next month, Brand New will hit the road and play a number of shows with Modest Mouse. As of last year, they’ve been playing a new material while out on tour.
