Carrie Brownstein, Alexis Krauss, Cass McCombs, Eleanor Friedberger Appear in Women's Rights PSA

The Department of Peace have created a women’s rights PSA which encourages you to go out and vote on November 4. Joan Jett prominently appears in the video, and she’s joined by dozens of people who lip sync to her song “Bad Reputation”. Carrie Brownstein, Sleigh Bells’ Alexis Krauss, Cass McCombs, Eleanor Friedberger, Sia, Lesley Gore, Tavi Gevinson, and Hole’s Melissa Auf der Maur all appear. Watch it below.

“There are candidates running for office this November who have backwards views on women’s rights,” Jett says in the video. “If you care about our right to control our own bodies and our own paychecks, then get yourselves out to the polls this November 4th and vote. And bring your friends.”

The video also encourages you to visit Lady Parts Justice for a state-by-state list of anti-woman laws and proposals.
