Chance the Rapper and Spike Lee have been feuding over Lee’s film Chi-Raq. After Chance called the movie “exploitative and problematic,” Lee called out the rapper for his father’s ties to Mayor Rahm Emanuel. During a talk at Northwestern University, Lee reportedly called Chance a “straight-up fraud.” Chance fired back on Twitter, calling the film “sexist,” “racist,” and an “offensive unsuccessful flop.” He also said Lee “begged” him to be in the movie.

Come on now This guy promoting this offensive unsuccessful flop of a movie … about the Southside…in fucking Evanston…

In an interview with Chicago radio station WGCI, Chance said that Lee’s film didn’t do enough to address the larger issue of Chicagoans living with post-traumatic stress disorder.
