Chance the Rapper Set for Post-Inauguration NAACP Rally

The NAACP has announced that Chance the Rapper will speak at a January event in Washington, D.C. The “People’s Inauguration” rally will take place at Howard University on January 21–the day after the presidential inauguration. It’s hosted by the Youth & College division of the NAACP, along with the Justice League New York and the Empowerment Movement. The rally is part of a new movement called #StayWokeAndFight, which “will involve direct actions, protests and other activism” in response to Trump’s administration, according to a press release. Chance was recently nominated for several NAACP Image Awards.

Also today, “Saturday Night Live” has shared the promo for the show’s final episode of 2016, hosted by Casey Affleck with Chance as the musical guest. In the video, they attempt to place a star atop the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree… with a very tiny ladder. Watch the promo below.

See where Coloring Book and its tracks placed on “The 50 Best Albums” and “The 100 Best Songs of 2016,” respectively.
