Chief Keef Announces Los Angeles Hologram Concert

Chief Keef has announced the “Bang 3 Hologram Fest”, taking place September 18 at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. Keef will celebrate the release of the double-album version of his Bang 3 LP with a live, in-person performance at the Fonda, followed by an afterparty in the theater’s parking lot, at which his hologram will perform. The event that will also feature “surprise hologram performances” as well as rap battles, laser tag, arcade games, and more, according to a press release.

The performance and after party will be streamed by FilmOn.com; fans will be able to chat directly with Keef via a “premium option.”

The single-disc version of Bang 3 was released earlier this summer. This double-album version contains 12 new tracks, including a collaboration with Lil B. It is out September 18, the same day as the concert.

Originally, Keef intended to perform as a hologram at a memorial concert for a toddler in Chicago, owing to his hazy legal status: due to his outstanding warrants, he isn’t allowed in Chicago. After being moved to Hammond, Indiana, the show was shut down

Following those cancellations in Chicago and Hammond, Keef threatened a lawsuit against Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. A plan to stage a holographic concert held simultaneously in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City was also put on hold.
