Chromatics Perform “Shadow” On “Twin Peaks,” Share New Music Video: Watch

Twin Peaks” returned to television earlier tonight, with a two-hour-long season premiere on Showtime. The premiere of the long-awaited series revival from David Lynch concluded with an appearance from Chromatics, who performed in the Roadhouse. Johnny Jewel and company played “Shadow,” a song they originally released in 2015. Now, Chromatics have also released the official video for that track, which sees them performing in front of the Black Lodge’s iconic red curtains. Watch that below.

Chromatics’ last record, Kill for Love, was released in 2012. Since December 2014, they’ve teased its follow-up, Dear Tommy. “Shadow” is scheduled to appear on the record. Earlier this month, Johnny Jewel’s manager revealed that Jewel “almost died in Hawaii” in 2015 and destroyed all the copies of Dear Tommy when he returned to California. Some of the broken copies were used for the promotional “Twin Peaks” photo. Jewel recently released a new album, Windswept, featuring music from the show’s third season and the Chromatics song “Blue Moon.” The season premiere of “Twin Peaks” also featured new music written by Angelo Badalamenti & David Lynch, including a song called “Frank 2000.”
