Chvrches Share New Version of “Down Side of Me” in Kristen Stewart-Directed Video: Watch

Chvrches have shared a new live version of their Every Open Eye track “Down Side of Me.” It’s the band’s contribution to 7-inches for Planned Parenthood—the new compilation of 7” vinyl records and digital singles that benefit Planned Parenthood. The track arrives along with a new music video, directed by Kristen Stewart. In a press release, Lauren Mayberry said, “‘Down Side Of Me’ was not written specifically for this project but I really like how the lyrics can be interpreted in a way that supports the goal of the project as a whole. We should all be able to have faith that our governments are working in our best interests—and if they aren’t then, they should be challenged and held to account. ‘I’ll believe that you’re all that you said you would be.’” Watch the Stewart-directed video below.

The 7-inches for Planned Parenthood vinyl boxset is expected to arrive in the fall. The project was announced with a promotional video for the project in which John Legend, St. Vincent, and Zach Galifianakis covered Minnie Riperton’s “Lovin’ You”.
