In years since his last proper album Toeachizown came out in 2009, Damon Riddick—the Los Angeles funk hero best known as Dâm-Funk—has released collaborative albums, EPs, and a comp of his early work. Finally, he’s getting ready to release his next LP, Invite the Light. It’s out September 4 via Stones Throw. Listen to “We Continue” above.

The album features guest appearances from Ariel Pink, Q-Tip, Snoop Dogg, Nite Jewel, Kid Sister, Junie Morrison of the Ohio Players, and others. A press release describes it as “a loosely autobiographical concept album.”
