Damon Albarn: Gorillaz Album “Should Be Ready Fairly Soon”

Gorillaz’ follow-up to Plastic Beach has been looming for a while now. Their return has been teased several times, with Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn confirming that they were planning to record new music in September. Then, footage of them working on new Gorillaz music in the studio surfaced. In a new interview, Albarn has confirmed that the album is coming, CoS reports. “Later in the year we’ll be starting to get the whole Gorillaz thing together,” he said. “I’m loving it and it’s getting there.
