Damon Albarn, Julia Holter on Syrian Orchestra Album

The Orchestra of Syrian Musicians has announced a new live album, Africa Express Presents… The Orchestra of Syrian Musicians & Guests. It’s out December 9 via Transgressive Records, and features appearances by Damon Albarn, Julia Holter, Bassekou Kouyaté, Paul Weller, Faia Younan, and more. The album is made up of performances recorded in England, Holland, Turkey, and Denmark, and features a rendition of Holter’s “Feel You” (off the excellent Have You in My Wilderness) as well as Albarn’s take on the Beatles’ “Blackbird.” Check out the full tracklist and cover artwork below.
