Danny Brown “Putting the Final Touches” on New Album

In January, Danny Brown tweeted that he was “praying” his new album would come out in 2016. Now, it appears his prayers will be answered imminently, as he shared a photo from the studio to his Instagram. In the caption, he writes that he and Derek “MixedByAli” Ali (the Top Dawg Entertainment recording and mixing engineer, to whom Kendrick Lamar famously says, “let it run, Ali,” on “Backseat Freestyle”) are “putting the final touches on [his] next masterpiece.” See the photo below.

Danny Brown’s last album, Old, came out in October 2013. Last year, he released a new song with Clams Casino called “Worth It.” Recently, he and DOOM were featured on the Avalanches’ new song “Frankie Sinatra.”
