Danzig Announce New Album Black Laden Crown, How the Gods Kill Anniversary Tour

Danzig have announced the first Danzig album in 7 years, Black Laden Crown (out mid-May via Evilive Records/Nuclear Blast Entertainment). It’s the follow-up to 2010’s Deth Red Sabaoth. Check out the cover art below. Glenn Danzig has also announced the return of the Danzig-curated Blackest of the Black festival, which goes down May 26 and 27 in Orange County, CA, and will feature Danzig headlining. The fest will also have performances from over 20 other artists, with a full lineup announcement to come.

As if that were not enough, Danzig have also announced a new tour, celebrating the 25 year anniversary of the release of Danzig III: How the Gods Kill—the first album from the eponymous band to be produced by Danzig (alongside Rick Rubin). The setlist for the new tour will feature “many songs” off the album, according to the band’s website.

Last year, Glenn Danzig returned to the Misfits for a series of festival appearances. Misfits bassist Jerry Only explained that despite their long-running legal feuds, he described their relationship as “never not friends… just adversaries.”
