David Lynch Tribute Album Features Sky Ferreira, Lykke Li, Flaming Lips, Karen O, More

Last year, the David Lynch Foundation hosted a concert celebrating its 10th anniversary at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. It featured a variety of artists performing music from David Lynch‘s catalog and film/TV soundtracks, including Sky Ferreira doing “Blue Velvet,” Zola Jesus performing “In Heaven,” Lykke Li doing “Wicked Game,” Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd playing music from Eraserhead and The Elephant Man, and more. (Lynch’s musical collaborator Angelo Badalamenti was there too.) Recordings from that concert have now been collected into a double-LP, The Music of David Lynch, which is out April 15 via Communion. Find the tracklist and artwork below, via BrooklynVegan.

On April 16, Xiu Xiu will release a “Twin Peaks” covers abum, Plays the Music of Twin Peaks, featuring their takes on Badalamenti’s music for Lynch’s show.

Since 2005, the David Lynch Foundation has provided scholarships to more than 500,000 people suffering with trauma. The foundation’s performance-based initiative, DLF Live, organized the event.
