Dr. Dre and 50 Cent Sued Over “P.I.M.P”

Producer Brandon Parrott is suing Dr. Dre and 50 Cent for the uncredited use of one of his beats for “P.I.M.P” from 50′s 2003 album Get Rich or Die Tryin’TMZ reports. Parrott claims he sent 10 tracks to Aftermath Entertainment in 2001, including a track called “BAMBA,” which Parrott says was used two years later without his knowledge in “P.I.M.P.” Denaun Porter (of D12) is listed as the sole producer of the song (via Discogs). Parrott also claims that he was told in 2003 that his production was used mistakenly and signed a settlement at the time based on that information. He now believes that he was taken advantage of and is seeking compensation for the use of his track. Dre is also currently facing legal action from Jerry Heller for defamation in Straight Outta Compton.
