Dr. Dre to Executive Produce and Star in Apple's Debut Television Series

Dr. Dre is set to executive produce and star in Apple’s first original television series, as The Hollywood Reporter reports. Titled “Vital Signs,” the six-episode series is described as a “dark” and “semi-autobiographical” drama, with each episode centering on a different emotion.

THR says Sam Rockwell and Mo McCrae have been cast in the show, which is being directed by longtime music video director Paul Hunter. All episodes of “Vital Signs” are expected to be released at once.

Dr. Dre released Compton last summer, his first new album in 16 years.
