Drake Announces Views From the 6 Release Date

Tonight, Drake hosted his Beats 1 show “OVO Sound Radio,” along with Oliver El-Khatib. At the beginning of the episode, he announced the release date for his long-awaited album Views From the 6: It’s out April 29. The album will be an Apple Music exclusive, according to Apple. Update (7:10 p.m. EST): Also during the episode, Drake played a new version of “Pop Style” (his new song with Kanye West and Jay Z, who are credited as The Throne). The Throne do not appear, but it features a new Drake verse. Hear it above. Update (11:22 p.m. EST): Drake has shared the album trailer. Watch it below. Update (4/10, 2:19 p.m. EST): The song from the trailer appears to be Suicideyear‘s track “Over” from 2013′s Japan. Drake has shared several new songs in 2016. In January, he premiered “Summer Sixteen” on “OVO Sound Radio.” In addition to “Pop Style,” he released another new song earlier this week, “One Dance.”
