Drake, the Strokes, Chvrches, the War on Drugs to Play Inaugural Landmark Music Festival
A new festival called the Landmark Music Festival—an event that will take place in Washington, D.C.—has been announced. It’s all happening on September 26-27 at Washington D.C.’s West Potomac Park.
The bill features Drake, the Strokes, Chvrches, the War on Drugs, Chromeo, Band of Horses, the Kills, Twin Shadow, Dan Deacon, alt-j, Albert Hammond Jr., Ex Hex, boots, Hiss Golden Messenger, the Joy Formidable, Wale, fun. singer Nate Ruess, Dr. John, and more. Check out the full lineup here.
The entire festival will be streamable via the Live Nation channel on Yahoo! Screen. The event will support Trust with the National Mall’s Landmark Campaign, established to help reinvigorate and renovate the aging National Mall—site of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, among other events—which hasn’t been renovated in nearly 40 years.
Tickets are on sale now, with a lottery for free passes taking place in the coming weeks.
