Elvis Costello Performs on "David Letterman" for 27th and Last Time
“The Late Show With David Letterman” is in its home stretch, with Letterman’s final broadcast set for on May 20. (He will be succeeded by Stephen Colbert.) A number of special guests and performances have been announced for the final episodes. Last night, Elvis Costello appeared to perform a medley of a cover of “When I Write the Book” by Nick Lowe’s band Rockpile and his own “Every Day I Write the Book”. Watch it below.
Costello has a long history of performing on Letterman’s show; last night marked his 27th appearance, according to Rolling Stone.
