Erykah Badu and Robert Glasper Share Miles Davis "Maiysha" Rework Video: Watch

Erykah Badu and Robert Glasper have shared a new music video for “Maiysha (So Long),” from Glasper’s Everything’s Beautiful, a reimagining and reinterpretation of Miles Davis compositions. Badu wrote new lyrics for the track, which is based on Davis’ ’70s piece “Maiysha.” Badu also wrote and directed the video, in which she appears as “a neurotic, beatnik chanteuse” named Sarah Bellam, described as “one of Badu’s many personas” in a press release. Glasper plays the tortured keyboard player in her band and her lover.
